Dear Family Supports and Friends It is incredible how the months fly by. September is gone and October is close on our heels. The activities in Strasbourg have been starting up and our schedules are starting to get more and more full with each coming day. I would like to share with you some of the large projects we have been working on for the past few months, the ones that are being completed *and the ones we have just started and/or are continuing*. Course by Correspondance For the past year we have been taking a group of lessons and putting them on the computer as well as updating the graphics from a 1970's look to something a little more modern. We were able to finish this extensive project last month and I have begun putting these lessons onto our web page so they can be utilized there as well as on paper with our snail mail students. We are praying that this is another great tool for being able to reach out to the french speaking world. If you would like to have a look at these courses and see what is being done, feel free. Marilena I have tried to update everyone on the status of Marilena, the daughter of the preacher in Strasbourg, each month to let you know how she has been since they discovered cysts on her liver a few months ago. Thus far they have concluded that it is no cancer and that she probably contracted an African parasite when she was very young. They are going to surgically remove the cysts on the 31st of October. Please keep her in your prayers. Church Members Some of you might remember a member of the church I spoke about a year ago. One year ago this month, she left because she refused to extend a loving hand to one of the brothers. I want to ask you to earnestly pray for her. When I spoke to her about the situation before she left she told me that she needed time. It has been quite a long time now and we have not forgotten her or stopped loving her. Please pray that she will remember that we are a family, that we love her, and she will come back to us. Thank you all so very much for all the prayers you pray, for your encouragement to me and to the rest of the congregation here in Strasbourg and work we do. Thank you for allowing me to serve these people by your support. In Christ, Pamela D. www.aimfrance.wtcsites.com |
