April 2007

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ –

The month of May was full of blessings from the Lord! It is amazing to watch how God brings people’s lives, as well as the lives of churches from lows to highs.

In preparation for the campaign, which took place the 1-4 of June, Marlo (my roommate), Caleb (one of the AIM students) and myself where able to go to Geneva, Switzerland and pick up the distribution cards that they so graciously printed for us. While we were there we were able to visit the church and fellowship with the missionary’s’ family (Doyle and Barbra Kee). They printed 500,000 distribution cards for us. On average we receive 1 response for ever 1,000 cards we distribute. And from those responses, 1 out of every 10 will come to the assembly. I pray that God will use these cards to help us reach out to the members of the community with His gospel!

The campaign this year was blessed by a group of students from Harding University. We had 12 students as well as the family of Robert McCreedy, who brought our lessons. They helped us to distribute all day Friday, followed by the gospel meeting, half of the day Saturday followed by supper at Marlo’s and my apartment, an other meeting on Sunset, and distributing again all day Monday followed by a BBQ in the park.
I was able to invite my friend Laticia to dinner twice, and she was able to meet some of the students. I keep praying that she sees our lives as Christians, and seeds are planted in her heart.
During the campaign, we were able to hand out around 20,000 cards. In the coming weeks we will hopefully be able to see the fruit of our labors, when people write in to study.

We also have good news when it comes to the web page. Daniel has told me that he has two new students who are studying with him thanks to the correspondence courses we placed on the site. And also, we have had people writing in from as far away as Canada who are listening to our audio sermons. We are excited that the message of Jesus is reaching more and more people with these tools.

My mother was able to come for a week and a half! I picked her up in Paris and she was able to meet the preacher and his wife, Roland and Rose Mohsen, as well as see the sights of the city. We enjoyed a fellowship meal with the church, and spending some time with the members before heading back to Strasbourg. In Strasbourg she was able to meet most of the people I dearly love, and see the town I have come to call home.
I am so happy that she came. What an encouragement she was for me, and others I know. She was a great help during the campaign and was enjoyed by everyone! It was hard to see her go again at the end of her time!

What the future holds (Lord willing):

  • For the next few weeks I am going to be in Paris. I am working with Roland and Rose, helping them get ready for the Bible Bowl in Mauritius Island, as well as updating their web page, and helping with any odds and ends that they have for me to do.
  • I am going with Roland to his Bible studies through out the week, getting to meet some of their contacts, and hopefully being an encouragement to both them and the Mohsens.
  • On June 21-26 I will be in Strasbourg visiting the church, wrapping up my work (and paper work), and spending my birthday! I will be able to spend a little bit of time with the new AIM students, and hopefully pass off any of the work I may have left behind.
  • On June 28- July 24 I will be gone to Mauritius Island with the Moshens for the Bible Bowl, and evangelical campaign. We will be having a Bible Bowl, Gospel meeting, VBS, as well as door knocking days for the majority of the month. I am looking forward to meeting and working with the church in Mauritius. Please pray that hearts and souls are touched by God’s message there.
  • On July 30th I fly back to America. I am still, Lord willing, going to Sunset, starting August 11th. I am still looking for support to go. I have currently $200 promised, and I am still in need of $800/ month. Please, if you are one of my current supports, I ask that you would consider continuing to support me through Sunset. If you know of anyone else who might be able and willing to support me, please, I ask that you send me their information so I can get a hold of them, or visa-versa.

Thank you so much for all that you do! It is because of you that all of this is possible. God is using YOU for the kingdom in France!

    God bless,

    Pamela D.
