March 2007

Dear Brothers and Sister in Christ -

I praise the Lord for you all, and the love you have showed me with your support, both through finances, your encouragement, and your prayers! God bless you all for that!

The past month has been filled with wonderful things, meeting new people, continuing on with the work on the internet, and getting to share life with others.

The month started with Jessica, my team mate returning to America, leaving me the opportunity to spend more time with the members of the church, and my contacts in the community. Alex and Mavis, a couple from Ghana, and members of the body invited me to go along with them to the Ghanaian 50th year independence celebration. There I was able meet their family who lives in town, who are mostly all believers in the Lord, and who go to different churches around the city. I was also able to see Patrick, the plumber who I told you about in previous newsletters. All in all, the event allowed me to grow closer in my relationship to Alex and Mavis, as brothers and sisters of the same body.

Our normal weekly activities have recommenced such as Bible studies with Daniel (the missionary) once a week for the apprentices, teaching children's computer class at the elementary school, teaching Francis (the assistant minister) computer skills, and my weekly English/Bible students.

This past week we were able to hold a party for our English/Bible students and were happy at the turn out. We had a dozen people there including one of the brothers from Paris, and Laticia, who is not an English/Bible student, but is a good friend, and who is still in a lot of way searching for truth. The party allowed us to make contact with each others students and contacts so that when one person leaves Strasbourg, others will be able to follow up with that person.

Upcoming Events: Next week we have a ladies day planned for both the members of the church as well as visitors, and guests who are interested in learning. Tammy will be teaching, and Lord willing, we will have both the members, and visitors come. It is sometimes difficult to get the ladies classes set up because a lot of the ladies work, and very few of them have cars to be able to get from one place to another quickly. So it leaves us either having class in the afternoon where few can come, or in the evening, which takes the ladies a hour travel in both directions. (Which is a long time to be away from home in the evenings with children). Please pray that we will be able to get together as sisters, fellowship and study, each of us being edified. Please pray that all of our dedication and strength increase.

The move. This month I am also moving from one apartment to another. I am going to keep the same mailing address since my apartment will now be occupied by the AIM boys who live here. Since I did not have a room mate, Marlo, a woman from America who is moving here, has offered to let me live with her. She will be taking the boys old apartment. Since there are three more boys coming to join the already two here, they will be taking mine, it is bigger by one bedroom. This is going to be another big change. It is always difficult at the beginning trying to work out how to get places, when to leave, bus schedules, and so on, when we move to different houses here. So, Lord willing, after two weeks or so, I will be adjusted into my new apartment, and things will go smoothly.

Thank you all so much for your prayers and your support in my work here. I pray that God is glorified by the work that we are doing, that seeds are being planted, and that the kingdom will grow because of this work. I pray, as well, that God is glorified in the work that you all are doing in the churches where God has placed you.

God bless you all, and grace be with you -

Pamela D.
