Dear Brothers and Sisters -

Mauritius Island

As I told you in my last newsletter, I was blessed with the opportunity to spend a month working with members of the Mauritius church as well as Paris church in Mauritius Island, hosting the First Bible Bowl of the Indian Ocean. We had a wonderful turn out, with 12 different countries represented. Along with the Bible Bowl we hosted a conference taught by Dr. Richard England from Freed Hardemen University in Tennessee. Both the congregations of Mauritius Island were able to come, the members from the 12 countries I mentioned, as well as 15 visitors. We were very excited to have the fellowship between all of the christians on the Island, from the surrounding countries, and even from countries of Europe and America.

After the conference which lasted for a week, we spend another two and a half weeks working to encourage the members of both congregations as well as trying to reach out to the people we had come in contact with. One of these people was the hotel owner, from the Hotel we stayed at during the conference. Since I am a web page designer, Roland (the preacher from Paris) suggested that the owner take advantage of the fact that I was there to set up a web page for his hotel. I was able to complete the web page, and Roland was able to help him in the area of food (since Roland is a professional baker). In doing this, we were able to show him that Christians are people of their word. If we promise to help, we will follow through, as well as giving us the time and opportunity to speak about spiritual things. Lord willing this will be a relationship that the preacher in Mauritius keeps up, and will be able to influence the owners life through the planted seeds.

Speaking about web design, I was also able to update the web page for the church in Mauritius Island. To see what we have places on the web page, as well as pictures from the Bible Bowl and confrence please visit:

Saying Goodbye

After coming back from the Island, I had the opportunity to go to Strasbourg for 4 days before flying back to the States. In Strasbourg I was able to visit with those I consider contacts from the church and those I have found myself close to over the past few years. Saying goodbye to those people was one of the hardest things I think I have ever done. It was, in essence, saying good bye to the piece of my heart that will always be with them. And even though we are not together physically, it does not mean that my work with them is done. I am so thankful for the internet and for telephones. I pray that I will still be able to have influence for Christ in their lives.

Also during my time in Strasbourg I was able to meet with one of the members who is at the moment, not attending services for various reasons. I was able to take one of the AIM students to meet him and start a relationship. Please keep Fedner, the member in your prayers, as well as his sister Myriam. I know that they are discouraged, but I don't want Satan to pull them away from the church, the very people who can help to encourage them. Please pray for them.

Back to America

I arrive back in America on the 30th of July but was not able to make it to my families house before the 31st because of my air plane being delayed in Poland. So, after 48 hours of traveling from Strasbourg, to Paris, to Poland, Chicago, Omaha, Denver, I finally made it to Colby, Kansas. I am so grateful for the time that God has given me to spend in France, among His people and reaching out to those who don't yet know the wonderful blessings of being a part with Him. I know it is because of you, my supporters, that I was able to be there. There are no words that are able to express my gratitude, and I wish I could adequately. But all I can say is, Thank you!

Plans until Sunset

As I have said before, Lord willing, I will be going to Sunset, started on the 13th of August. Until then I will be traveling.

My first stop will be in Nebraska at Nebraska Youth Camp where I am going to teach two days of the girls' Bible class. Before I went to France, I was heavily involved with the camp, and now that I am back in the states I wanted to take the opportunity to retie the strings that I have left here, and to share with the young women some of the amazing things that God has taught me over the past three years.

Next I will be giving presentations in my home town, in Nebraska, Oklahoma, Missouri, Texas, and New Mexico. I want to be able to share with you, my supporters, the things that God is doing in France, and the amazing work that is continuing there, because of people like you and the opportunities you provide. As well, I wanted to be able to share my future plans for working in the Kingdom.

Thank you all again for everything that you have given to me, both physically, but more important spiritually, and all the things that you have given the church and contacts in France and now Mauritius. May God richly bless you for your love and devotion to His work in His kingdom!

Needs

Monthly support –

As of now I have $200/month for school in Lubbock. Going to Sunset requires that I am at school from 8:30 until 4:00 Monday through Thursday and 8:30 until 12:00 on Friday. Because of these hours, and the homework load that is given, I will not be able to get a job. Thus, I must rely on the support of the church, knowing that they will provide for me, as I am working full time for the kingdom. I am in needs of $1,000/month total starting in August 2007, and ending in May 2009, when I graduate.

One computer – Taken care of

For the past three years I have been working on setting up and up keeping web pages for various churches including Strasbourg, Paris, Verviers Belgium and Mauritius Island. While I am going back to America, my work with these pages which have been great out reach tools, will not stop. My computer, being 10 years old, is almost completely dead. (to the point that there are multiple keys that no long work, and this is one of the smaller problems). I am thus, in need of a new computer. I have been looking around, and have found refurbished Macs (since that is what my software is compatible with) that are about $1,000. This will allow me to continue my work with the French world.

One car –

When I move to Lubbock, I will be attending Sunset. I am going to be living in an apartment with two other girls about 2 miles from the school. I also want to help with the AIM program starting in December, and we are required to go different churches throughout the area each Sunday. I would like a car to be able to be more accessible to those whom I am trying to minister to. I don’t want anything fancy, just four wheels and a motor. Having talked with my parents, and gotten some advice, I believe that I could buy a reliable car for $2,000.
