January 2008
Dear Supporters, Family and Friends -

Another month has come and gone, and God is doing incredible things in the lives of people all over the world! How blessed we are to be counted in that number.

I'd like to share with you this month about the evangelism going on in Lubbock. As we are all preparing to go back to the mission fields we are reminded daily that the mission field is all around us, and that there are lost people every where and we see them ever time we step out of our door.

I want to tell you of a girl that we met this past month whose name is Kai. One of the AIM students was on the bus, and started a conversation with this woman. He invited her to church, and there she met my roommate, and a few more of the AIM students. They invited her to come to a weekend activity that we had planned called Camp Adventure. That is where I met her. She looked extremely familiar to me, and I did to her. We started talking and she told me about her four children (she is only in her early twenties). She told me about her drug addictions, and her past life. Through out the weekend we talked, and she studied with different people. By Saturday night, she was a member of the body of Christ!

It is amazing how the love of Christ is shown as such a huge light in people's lives. Who would have thought that the woman on the bus was longing, yearning, starving for Jesus? She was, and now she has Him! What's next? Keeping her in the body! Once someone becomes a part of the body, the work has only just begun. Introducing them to Jesus is one thing. Helping them fall more and more in love with the Lord, as His servant and child is another. My goal for this month is to get into a regular Bible study with Kai, and help her to grow closer to our Lord through His word.

Evangelism has never been my strong point when it comes to ministry. I am more of the discipler in the church. The person who spends the time ministering to the new Christians, and studing with those who need spiritual growth. Lately however, I have been part of a class called, "Effective Ministry" taught by Jerry Tallman. ( www.hiseternalplan.com ) He is teaching us how to go into the world around us, recognize truth seekers, and ask them to sit down, one on one, to find out what truth is. I have been inspired to look at people in a new light. I have been inspired not to be afraid of meeting new people. I have been inspired to love the lost in Lubbock.

God's love is for everyone, and I want to share it with everyone. My greatest ministry might continue to be in the realm of teaching and discipline baby christians, but I want to grow in the area of evangelism. Please pray with me as I work hard in my efforts to grow in this area.

On a final note, the AIM students are in Mexico City this week, working with the church there. Please keep them in your prayers. I was not able to go because I need the time to prepare for a Ladies Day that I will be speaking at on February 23 in Hooker Oklahoma. Please keep that in your prayers, and if you are able to attend, that would be simply wonderful!

I pray for you all, that God is blessing your spiritual growth, your ministry in your community and the congregations that you are a part of!

God speed - Pamela D.

I have a little in saving to help cover the cost of this trip. As of right now, I will be able to pay for the plane ticket. Thus, I am in need of the rest of the funding for the trip. I know that God will provide the money that is needed, so that I will be able to go to France and help with the work that is being done there. There are so many things that need to be done, and people who need to be taught and loved.

If you know anyone who would be willing to help with some of the one time expenses of this campaign, please pass along their contact information, and I will send them some literature about France, and my involvment there. Thank you!
