Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ -

What a month it has been. I am excited to be able to share with you about what we have been doing here, and about some of the things that are going to be happening, Lord willing, in the coming weeks.

Ladies Day in Hooker

On February 23rd, Jessica (my roommate) and I were able to go to a Ladies Day in Hooker, Oklahoma where I was the speaker. The topic was "Healing the Broken Heart" and I came from the perspective that sin is what breaks our heart, and God's and that the only way to be healed is by coming to Jesus. As Christians we have to be coming to Him daily, in humility, to grow closer to Him and into the people we are suppose to be. I pray that the Ladies who heard me speak were able to grow, as I was able to grow in writing and presenting the lessons.

I wanted to share with you the classes that I am taking this term. Every other month I get to share with you about these classes, and it's always such a pleasure.

Life of Christ - Ron Bontrager and Monty Pettyjohn - In this class we are going through the life of Christ using the book of Matthew. We were able to spend a few class peirods looking at, examining, and memorizing the Sermon on the Mount (actually we just memorized chapter 5). It has been an amazing study, looking indepth at Christ, what He taught, and how He applied that in His life.

Effective Bible Study - Richard Crevey - We have been taking the time, here, to go over different manners of which one can study the Bible, as well as what would be the most useful and appropriate way to dig into the text.

Scheme of Redemtion - Ed Wharton - Brother Wharton's classes have always been the most challenging for me personally. He has a brilliant mind that is able to reach into the Word, and see the entire picture of what God is doing. While it is challenging, once I've gone over the material five or six dozen times, studied it independently, and taught a class over it, then I feel like I've actually begun to grasp what he is trying to teach. In Scheme, Brother Wharton has been teach us about God eternal plan for mankind, a well as the pre-millinial view of the end of the world and it's error and implications.

Effective Ministry - Jerry Talman - I told you a little about this man and his incredible work for the Kingdom in my last news letter. Again, if you have not visited his web-page, please do. Being in the Hospital

Some of you already know this, but I wanted to share with everyone about some of the health concerns I am having. The past month and a half I have been seeing a couple of doctors because I've had some pains in my abdomen. After having blood tests, IVs, and scopes we are still waiting on results. Please just keep me in your prayers as they are trying to find out what exactly is wrong, get it fixed, and get me back up and running at full speed.

Summer Mission to France Update

I am still planning on being in Europe this summer to help with the church's campaign, and be with members and contacts from my life there. One congregation has pledged the rest of the money I need for the trip so financially all is taken care of. Thank you so much for you love and concern for that work!
