Muslim English/Bible Student
Last month I had the pleasure of sharing with you all that I have a
new student, Simo. He is the boyfriend of another student and that is
how we were introduced. Last month we shared a number of interesting conversations during our classes together, including who Christ
is in light of the cross and what baptism means. Each time we have a
class he is eager to learn and full of questions. Also, he
has lots to say when it comes to current events.
It is such a blessing to be able to study with him in light of all of the
events of the past few months and years. An American sitting down and
studying with a Muslim about God is not something you hear about every
day and definintly not something that I get to do often. I feel blessed
that the Lord would allow me to have this study. Please pray for my
wisdom in teaching as well as his open heart.
Myriam
Our, now former roommate and sister and friend, Myriam, is someone I
have shared with you about over the past year. We have had the pleasure
of knowing her. I don't want to go into detail about all that is going
on in her life at the moment because I don't know how much she wishes
to display to the world, but I would like to ask you all for your
prayers. She has moved into a new apartment with her brother and will be
starting school soon studying English. Lord willing, we can be a help to
her not only educationally but also emotionally and spiritually.
Future Students (Lord willing!)
School is back in session this month and with the start of the of the
year comes multiple opportunities for our ministries. Not only do our
regular students get back from holidays but also, we will be placing
invitations around campus which, Lord willing, numerous people will respond
to.
Thus far we have a total of thirteen people studying with us on a
regular basis, one of which is attending our Tuesday night Bible studies,
and another, Sunday morning worship services. Each year we have around
twenty people call in resulting in the average of ten faithful
students.
We pray we can use this manner of ministry to plant seeds in
peoples hearts and minds and bring the knowledge of Christ to the world.
Marilena
Daniel and Tammy Frerot, the missionaries here have been under quite a
bit of stress the past couple of months with the illness of their
youngest daughter, Marilena. A few months ago I reported to you all that
two cysts had been found on her liver. They have recently found that
they are not cancerous (praise the Lord) and they are going to removed
them in October. The Lord has blessed us with this beautiful girl and her wonderful
family. Please continue to pray that she will be in perfect health soon,
the operation will go well, and for her courage and her
family's. Thank you.
Thank you all so very much for what you do. You are a blessing from
the Lord and I know without a doubt that if it were not for you all, I
could not be here nor do what I do. Thank you and God bless you all.
