My dear supporters, family and friends -
I want to share with you some of the incredible things that have being going on here in Lubbock with school and life, as well as the things that are to come this summer.
First, I'd like to share with you about the classes that I've been taking the last month and a half. They are each full of new perspectives and the search to understand the meaning of the scriptures.
I Corinthians & I, II & III John with Gerald Paden. These are two separate classes, but I will tell you about them together because they are taught by the same way, and because of that, taught in the same format. In both of these classes we are going through the individual books verse by verse and looking at words, and meanings, and the history behind the contexts. We are also taking the time to write papers, and lessons on these books. At the end of term, in just a few weeks, a 10 page paper is required on the subject of Marriage, Divorce and Remarriage. This had been an interesting topic to write about because it is so emotional for many people. But I am learning, not the opinions of men, but the Word of God, so that I can go out and teach what He has said on this subject.
I & II Thessalonians & Philipians with Doyle Gilliam, which is one class with all three books, we are going through the major themes of these books, the historical background, and Paul's intended meanings and messages to these specific groups of people.
Church History and Doctrines with Victor Ellison. In this course we are going through the history of the church from the time of Christ until present. It is interesting to note the both the apostasies and those who stayed true to the teachings of Christ. In this class we are creating a timeline of church history as one of our final projects. This will be a helpful tool in ministry, to help re-teach the class to those I will be ministering to in the future. It is like it is said, "If we do not learn from history, we are doomed to repeat it."
Biblical Theology of Missions with Kevin Haynes. I saved this for last because it is my favorite. In coming home from France I have gone through many different emotional states, with many ups and downs. In my downs, the fire for the desire of missions dwindles at moments. I've been praying that God would help to heal my heart and restart the fire for missions within me. This class has been an answer to my prayers and has brought me back to the point where all I want to do is tell the world about the love of Christ. Everyone gets discouraged in their ministry at times, but through this class I am learning how not only to get over discouraging moments, but how to prepare for the attacks that Satan will throw at me for the future. The final project in this class is a 20 page paper, including a 12 lesson curriculum to teach missions as shown through the heart of God. In getting prepared to teach, it is almost true that the teacher learns more than the students that they will teach.
In other news, if you remember the woman I told you about, Kai, who became a Christian a few months ago, we have been getting together, talking and studying together and building a relationship. She has a beautiful heart for the Lord and for her family and she wants to be a servant for the Lord and His people. My goal is to help her to become more dedicated to the scriptures and to follow God's will as He set out for us. Please pray as I try to encourage her.

Things to come
The next few months are going to be full of many wonderful things, Lord willing. Term ends on the 30th of May, and on the 4th of June I will be flying out to Paris. I will be spending time with the missionaries and church in Paris, Strasbourg, Vervier Belgium, and Scotland. Please continue to pray that this trip, the campaigns, and the personal relationships that I will be working on will all be to the glory of God and that people will continue to grow closer to Him each day.
Thank you all so much for all that you've done for me and your support for my work both financially, and through your prayers. May God be glorified in all that we do through our lives.
God bless you all - Pamela D. McAdams
